Report: £250,000-a-week player will be offered to Aston Villa, but he wants Newcastle move

Unai Emery’s Aston Villa have been linked with Joao Felix, who reportedly wants to move to Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United after his loan spell at Chelsea.

Joao Felix is leaving Chelsea to return to his parent club Atletico Madrid, and both Aston Villa and Newcastle United have been linked with the £250,000-a-week (The Sun) star.

The Sun have reported that Felix is keen on a move to Newcastle in the summer transfer window despite being offered to Paris Saint-Germain.

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly decided that he does not want the Portugal international forward in his squad for next season.

The Express have reported that Felix will be offered to Villa.

The report has claimed that super-agent Jorge Mendes will offer the 23-year-old Portugal international, who can operate as a forward, attacking midfielder or winger, to Villa.

Newcastle United or Aston Villa for Joao Felix?

In our view, Newcastle United would be more appealing than Aston Villa for Joao Felix.

Now, of course, if both Newcastle and Villa are offered the forward, then it means that he is open to moving to either club.

However, we believe that Newcastle would be more attractive.

After all, the Magpies are going places under PIF and will also play in the UEFA Champions League next season.

True, Villa are a big and established club in the Premier League, but Newcastle have grand plans for the future.
