Newcastle United, Crystal Palace, West Ham United keen on Tammy Abraham

A host of Premier League sides are keen on Tammy Abraham, who is open to returning to England in the close season from Roma.

According to HITC, Tammy Abraham had some serious suitors back in the Premier League, with West Ham, Crystal Palace, and Newcastle United keen. The £34 million Serie A striker is open to returning to England in the close season, as Roma could consider his future.

Premier League return for Tammy Abraham?

Jose Mourinho made a pivotal decision to sign the controversial Romelu Lukaku last summer, as he probably did not see Tammy Abraham playing any role this season. He has been out for most of the season due to a crucial ligament injury but has since returned around early April.

He may not stay at Roma for long, with the £34 million Serie A striker reportedly open to a return to England. He had links with Chelsea, who had thought about re-signing him, as they do have a buy-back clause in his contract, but unlikely to pay over £70 million in doing so.

Moreover, since his injury, Abraham may have lost some of his high-profile suitors from the Premier League but he continues to attract considerable attention. West Ham is reportedly keen, with incoming manager Julen Lopetegui likely to want a new striker and probably a future successor for Michail Antonio.

Newcastle United are also keen, with rumours of Arsenal’s interest in Alexander Isak. Should they lose the Swede, then the English striker might fit the bill for his replacement, although much will depend on how much Roma would demand to sell him in the close season. Crystal Palace is also keen, and new manager Oliver Glasner may want an additional striker in his ranks, probably to replace Odsonne Edouard.

Where will Abraham join?

First of all, no clear reports state that Abraham does want to leave Roma. He has been a good player for the Serie A giants, who might want to see how he has recovered from a long time out of the game.

Should he leave the Italian side and consider one of the many options available, European football and regularity might play a significant role in his selection. Hence, either Palace, West Ham or Newcastle would suit his cause, although any move would depend on the price Roma demanded.
